Thrift Haul (Myer, Top Shop etc...)

I have only recently really gotten into op shopping, don't get me wrong I've always been a bargain shopper and you'd rarely find me anywhere other than the clearance section! However before this year I'd never really tried op shopping but let me tell you after trying it I got hooked I just love how cheap you can get things and its always exciting finding brand clothes that you know would be 10 times the price in store!
Today I went to the op shop and had one of the most successful shops I've had in a while! I got a range of clothes including ones from TopShop, Paint it Red and Miss Shop.

First up was this white bomber jacket from Myer(Paint It Red). This jacket was only $8 and is in great condition.

I would style it with high waisted black skinny jeans for a very simple chic look.

Next thing I got was a dress from Top Shop, I've always wanted something from Top Shop but couldn't bring myself to pay that much plus shipping. This is a simple long sleeve skater dress perfect for winter with tights, boots and a jacket. And it is also very flattering! (oh yeah and it was only $8)

Next was these pastel purple pants from Miss Shop (Myer). There not really my style at the moment(15 year old me would have died to have them!) but at $6 I couldn't resist and you never know when you might need purple pants ;)

I could see them with a beaded black top for a formal look or a white flowy boho top for a bohemian vibe.

I also got this crop military jacket from JS City, which I've never heard of but i feel in love with the jacket and a bonus it was brand new still with tags! This was the most expensive buy of the day as it was $15 but I definitely feel it was worth it!

And finally i got this military jacket from Postie Fashions its super comfortable well fitted and warm and it was the biggest bargain of the day at only $5! I really love it and I'm certainly building up quite a wardrobe of black jackets, they're just so practical!

xoxo love always

Dress to Tulle Skirt (#TransformationTuesday)

This is a super cheap and easy dress to skirt transformation! The other day when I was at the op shop I came across a dress with an amazing tulle skirt. It was from Forever New and had a boned bodice. I didn't think much of the dress as a whole in fact I probably would of never worn it especially due to how incredibly small the bodice was! But I fell in love with the bottom part and new I could turn it into something great and for 8 dollars I figured I couldn't really go wrong. So I set out to turn it into a skirt since I've always wanted a tulle skirt that wouldn't break the bank!

The first thing I did was remove the zip from the bodice as I wanted to keep the zip as I didn't relish putting in an invisible zip in with all that tulle.

Next I cut around the top of the waistband leaving about 1 inch all around.

I then over-locked (you can zig zag stitch it I was just lazy!) the top of the skirt.

The final step was to pin the top down to the inside of the skirt and sew around. I tried to just go other the existing line of thread but if yours doesn't have any don't fret either sew really close to the top or just own it and make it into top stitching. And after $8 and one afternoons work I have a beautiful tulle skirt. Thank you for reading feel free to leave a comment!
